Hiya, 
Welcome to my blog! This first one might be a long one, but I can assure you they won't all be this long! I just thought I would tell you a bit about myself, so that you can get to know me a bit better
My name is Helen, and I am a 28 year old from Swansea in Wales. I am single with no children, though I dote on my brother's four children.
I love to PSP. Or rather, I did. I am just starting to get back into the swing of things now after taking a much needed break.
One of my other passions is music, and here in the UK there was a programme called Fame Academy. I really got into this show, and really like one of the artists that was on the show. So I googled her name, and came across her official fansite. I got talking on the message boards, and about 6 months after I joined, a competition was held to create a t-shirt design to actually be printed and sold as official merchandise.
Thus began my first foray into the world of PSP. I have to say, I did about half a dozen designs. They weren't a patch on any of the others but it was where I began. Like others before me, I then decided that I wanted to better myself and started searching the net for tutorials to learn how to use the different features of Paint Shop Pro. I started with 8, upgraded to 9, dabbled in 10 and reverted back to 9. All in the name of education!
I have been PSP'ing for about 3 years and I am still learning. I think I can do most things now, and love my plugins and my fonts, but I lack creativity and vision. I can follow a tutorial no problem, and can deviate from it a little, but I still lack the drive to create a tag from scratch. Though hopefullly that will come at some time or other.
As I mentioned earlier, my other passion is music. I love karaoke and have been having singing lessons on and off for a couple of years. The thing is, I am partially deaf and wear two hearing aids. So that makes singing a lot harder for me. The singing lessons have given me loads of confidence to be able to get up and sing in front of a pub full, and to do it with gutso. I will never be a good singer, and have no aspirations to make a career out of music, but I love it. 7 years ago I didn't know there were tones to music and I used to sing monotone, that is, in one pitch. Bad isn't it. But while I know I will never be a great singer, which is largely down to my hearing, I can at least carry a tune, and can belt a song out :)

Nothing exciting happening with me at the moment lol well apart from the pipes under the bath burst Thursday night and there was rather a lot of water coming out of the ceiling in my kitchen lol
i was more worried about getting to the water tap without a spider dropping on me lol
Anyway i must go make some requests at the mo hope to catch up soon hon

What a day!
After yet another sleepless night, I finally got up to a glorious sunny day. I then decided that it was time I started cycling to work (it is just under 9 miles each way, and I usually do it when the nights are light - I dont' like cycling home in the dark).
I shocked myself today, I got to work in just under 55 minutes. Bearing in mind that it is the first time I have cycled in 6 months, that was pretty good going. I was really pleased with myself..
Then I started work  . As I work in a university and it is now vacation, the library was really quiet. I have sat on my butt with virtually nothing to do all day. Not very good. I hate being so bored you may as well not be there, its worse than being so bogged down you can't cope.
When I got on the bike to eventually come home, the day had taken its toll on me, my bum cheeks are really sore from the saddle, and I am so tired its unbelievable - the combination of the sudden exercise and the doing nothing all day I think.
My plans for today have gone totally out of the window now. I was hoping to format my mother's computer and was also hoping to record some new songs to upload to my MySpace. But I am too tired to do anything. O Well, at least I ended up sorting my Animation Shop out. I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall it.
How is everyone's week shaping up so far?

Hi all,
I started my last blog with "What A Day". It doesn't get any better lol. Its shaping up to be one of those weeks.
Yesterday was my only day off this week. My plans were to have a lie in, sort my mother's computer out and generally have a lazy day, practising and recording some songs.
Nothing went right from the start. I woke up ridiculously early  and my computer started playing up so I had to sort that out too. Then I couldnt' find my win98 cd to format my mother's computer. That took up most of my day.
When I got up yesterday, my ears were really sore so I ended up putting stuff in them and having to leave my hearing aids out all day which meant I couldn't sing, listen to music or watch tv. Not good, but I must have needed it.
On a better note, last night was presentation night. I play darts twice a week for two different teams in two different leagues. On a Tuesday, I play for the Brighton Road Club, and we won our division, so we all got trophies and we all had a really good night out. Silly me forgot to book the day off today - or rather, I was the sensible one lol. The others (of the ones that I've spoken to) were all suffering today and I've been in work all day. I have to confess that I did have a headache around lunchtime, but once I had something to eat that soon disappeared.
Today has been really uneventful. I woke up this morning and made my way to work. I started work at 10 and am working till 8pm tonight. Not long to go When I get home, my plans are to make a couple of tags and then have an early night. I am hoping to cycle to work again tomorrow, but that isn't looking very likely as the weather forecast is hail showers  . We'll see. I'll let you all know tomorrow.

wow, you have alot to say lol.. You dont have a car to drive to work? or do you just like to ride the bike?I hope your week gets better just think its almost friday Anyways my week has been fine so far just ready for the weekend again lol.. saturday is mine and hubby's anniversery 2 years ... welp back to psp lol..

No Manda, I haven't passed my driving test. But cycling to work is fun. I really enjoy it.
The new series of Dr Who is starting tonight (in the UK), and they filmed most of this episode in the university library where I work. So I will definitely be watching that tonight!
Other than that, I am working in the pub tomorrow and about to finish work here today and will be having lazy afternoons/nights.

Congratulations on winning you division! I used to play darts but never got into the competitive side of them {My Husband said that if I had a dart in my hand and someone on the other team made me mad I would probably miss the board and hit that someone in the eye  }.

Hi all,
I'll try and keep this one a little shorter! 
I've been out and about on the bike a lot lately, the weather has been too nice not to be out on it. And I'm losing weight too with it which is really great. I am now lighter than I've been in at least 7 years which is fabulous. Now all I need to do is work on my eating habits and maybe I can drop down a size by next August. We'll see :)
Things seem to be going ok for me right now (touch wood!) and I'm reasonably happy.
Oh well, back to the grindstone I think. Speak to you all soon

Thank you so much for stopping by my Blog spot!
I am going through things at the moment for my computer. I did lose some tubes when the CD they were on became corrupt and all of my favorites (which you read on the chit chat board). For the most part I did manage to save everything else related to my PSP.
Right now my computer is operational but I'm not sure it is 100 percent stable ~ I have to update some device drivers or some such thing. So I am literally putting everything I download or save onto CD as soon as I get it on my computer.
My son's hand is doing well ~ stitches can come out on Friday.
I'm still not totally over what ever I had but I am felling a little better every day.
I'm so glad things seem to be going better for you!
Congratulations on the weight loss! I wish I could ride a bike again but alas this poor old body and bikes don't get along. Pretty soon though I will be back on my daily 1 - 2 mile walks again and I can't wait!
