Hiya,

How is your son doing now?  And how are you coping with everything? Are the hives healing?  You must be so uncomfortable right now.

But on a brighter note, I bet you must be looking forward to seeing your husband again :)

Wow what a week. Two allergic reactions in just a few days time.

Thankfully my son is OK it turns out he is highly allergic to benadryl and had he taken the second dose he would have been much worse off than what he was. He also has costochondritis which is an inflammation of the cartilage where the upper ribs join the sternum. He is on 800mg ibuprofen 3 times a day until the pain in his chest subsided.

My hives have settled down now and I have finally stopped itching. I wanted to just crawl out of my skin for a while. I'm to stay on the benadryl until the hives have been gone for two days but I can finally lower the dose I was taking and take 1 pill every 6 hours instead of 2 pills every 4 hours.

Amazing how the same medicine used to potentially save my live could have the potential cost my son his life. I have to get him a medical alert bracelet now because we really have to watch what they use to counter allergic reactions on him because some common treatments could cause him more harm or worse case cost him his life.

Well time for me to head to the airport and get my DH.

Have a great Mother's Day to all the moms out there and have a great weekend to everybody.

Hello everyone, I'm still alive just been busy trying to readjust to having my Husband home again. We have been working on the yard, Shopping like crazy, helping my in laws set up their new computer and cable Internet, and enjoying the nice weather when we've had it.

We have also started up our summer bowing leagues so now we are bowling on Tuesday night with our sons and on Wednesday nights just me and my husband. My Thursday morning league just finished yesterday and my team took first place this year. We won the year by a total of 3 pins, that is the closest win in league history.

My son is still experiencing some pain from the costochondritis but otherwise he is doing just fine. He is getting close to finishing 10th grade and looking forward to 11th grade, He really loaded up his class schedule for next year with advanced level classes and has also added a 7th period to his first trimester, he also wants to get into the running start program (which will give him college and high school credits) in the second trimester. We are waiting on his WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) Test results so that we know if he needs to retake it (you must pass in order to graduate high school and you only have 5 shots or you don't get a diploma) But we are confident that he scored well above average on it as he has always done.

Well time to go get some work done on the house. Have a great weekend everybody.

OK after a long hard summer I'm finally going to take a moment to update my blog.

My computer is still being a pain in the rear, I basically have to redo the OS every couple of days, and we are thinking that the Motherboard, Processor, and OS are going to be our next upgrades and then I will have a new computer that will hopefully work.

Over the summer a close friend of mine (my next door neighbor) passed away ~ she was only 45 years old ~ and 48 hours later our 14 year old dog passed away.

My DH has made another trip to Japan and will be back on Friday. My oldest son is job hunting and my youngest son has started 11th grade. My youngest has a very busy schedule for school with AM swim, AP Stat, Physics, Band, World History, Advanced Graphics & English. His first class starts at 6 am and on Fridays if there is a football home game his school day ends at 10:30 PM (thankfully home games are not every week). He is enjoying himself though.

Well off to get some stuff done.

Hope everyone has a great week.
